My youngest son has a thing for roller coasters, acquired during a theme park binge our family took a few years ago during some job interviews I had. They all happened to be in close proximity to various theme parks. So that became our cover. Anyway, for a while he'd google the wildest rides around the world, hunting for that front seat view. Which was more than slightly ironic, since at the time he was actually terrified of going on most roller coasters. Living vicariously through YouTube.
That's changed now. He's a few years older and wiser, and he's pretty psyched because the world's tallest roller coaster is coming to Carowinds, which is a mere twelve miles down Highway 51 from our driveway. He's ready to board. I am too - I think. That first drop...... oh my.
I suggest watching this (here if you don't see it below) on the biggest screen you can find. This is not a computer-generated thing, either. It's the real deal. As in, 325-feet high and 96 mph real.
